Patriots' Path Council offers lots of planned fun activities throughout the year for Cub Scouts. Get outside of your regular meetings, and join us at one or more of these great programs. Many of them are designed for dens. Some are suitable for entire packs and others are also available to individual Cub Scouts and families.

Magic Week - STEM at Camp Wheeler   August 5-9, 2013 (Week 6 of summer camp) at Camp Wheeler. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are incorporated in fun and interactive ways. Activities include robotics, model rockets, radio controlled vehicles, crafts, nature, pool, BB guns, archery, boating, mountain bikes, Scoutcraft, bridge construction, NOVA awards and more.

The 2013 SLS World Tour will feature 20 of the world's best street skateboarders competing in an easy-to-follow, instant scoring format on one-of-a-kind concrete skate plazas with the largest prize purse in skateboarding history at $2 million Each event features the standard league point system necessary for qualification into the SLS Super Crown World Championship on August 25th at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ

Staten Island Yankees Saturday, July 27 and Saturday August 10 at 7pm. The team is a class A affiliate of the NY Yankees. They are offering two Scout days with discounted baseball tickets, a patch, and optional on the field after game activities. Post-game sleepover on the field featuring a movie on the big screen. New York Red Bulls Soccer  October 5 at 7pm Red Bulls vs New England. Special pricing for Patriots' Path Council. Join your New York Red Bulls as they take on Eastern Conference rival New England Revolution for Scout Night at Red Bull Arena. All Scouts in attendance will be recognized on the in-stadium video boards as they take a lap around the pitch at halftime and will receive a limited edition New York Red Bulls patch. As an added value, the first 1,000 Scouts that take a lap around the pitch will receive a special recognition soccer belt loop.

Rutgers Football Scout Night October 26, 2013. All Boy and Girl Scouts are welcome to participate in scout day on October 26th when Rutgers takes on Houston. Discounted tickets available for all packs/troops and all members will receive a special Scout Day Patch.

Cub Scout Summer Camps  Day camps for all Cub Scouts have weekly sessions. We also have two resident camps for Webelos going into grades 4 and 5. Sign up as an individual.

Family Camping/Cubelos

Whether it is called a Cub Camporee, Cub-e-los, or Cub Family Camping, each district offers a fall and spring weekend. Programs and activities vary by district and date, but everyone will have a great time.

Packs are invited to camp with us on weekends in the spring, winter and fall. We have cabins and tent sites available and we can also provide weekend programs.  Visit the weekend camping page for details.

Liberty Science Center camp-ins are offered several times a year through the Patriots' Path Council. Save the dates for 2014 - January 18, 2014 and March 8, 2014. Both dates are co-ed. Scout day programs are also available.

United States Golf Association Museum offers tours for groups (see the golf club used on the moon) and a putting green for a nominal fee.

Historic Trails

New Jersey is full of history and we have several historic trails that let Scouts explore that history. Several historic trail hikes are suitable for Cub Scouts.

Winnebago  has a Cub Scout historic trail - 2 miles

Allamuchy offers a guided weekday or self-guided weekend 4-5 mile hike and a shorter historic site hike.

Jockey Hollow Trail  has a 5 mile Cub Scout trail at Morristown National Historical Park

Victory Trail -pick your own date to hike this historic 13 mile urban trail from Elizabeth, NJ to Springfield, NJ. The route follows the British advance into New Jersey that was stopped at the Battle of Springfield. View the trail map Complete the hike questionnaire and order medals online.
